Frequently Asked Questions

Q?
Can I register together with a friend for one country?
A.
Yes, however, it is only possible to represent the same country in one committee.
Q?
I have never been to an MUN before, can I still attend EuroMUN?
A.
Yes, being inexperienced is not a problem. However, we would not recommend applying for any of the politically more powerful countries, as those will be assigned to experienced delegates only.
Q?
Can I see what countries are available in the committees?
A.
Yes, therefore we provide an overview how many seats a country holds. Please see the Country/Committee Matrix on the specific committee page.
Q?
Can I get a country that in the real world is not part of my preferred committee?
A.
No.
Q?
I have not been assigned to any of my preferred countries, why?
A.
Since we use the first-come-first-serve principle in the allocation process, it may have simply happened that someone was faster than you. If so, we are terribly sorry and will of course do our best to assign you another country.
Q?
Am I obliged to hand in a position paper?
A.
There is no explicit requirement to write or hand in position papers, we strongly encourage drawing one up, as it is a very useful tool both during preparation and the discussions.
Q?
Is there a minimum age to attend EuroMUN?
A.
Yes, all participants must be at least 18 years of age by May 9th, 2012.

Q?
Do I have to be present at all sessions?
A.
Attendance at all sessions is mandatory to obtain a certificate of participation.
